Day 1 Arrive in Ottawa late afternoon and visit the ice sculptures, one of Winterlude’s main attractions. These temporary masterpieces transform Sparks Street into an outdoor gallery and are just 1 1/2 blocks from our hotel. Or strap on some skates and head to the Rideau Canal which temporarily becomes the World’s Largest Skating Rink. When the sun goes down, take a breathtaking stroll through Confederation Park. Day 2 Embark on an unforgettable journey to Parc Omega. Led by a passionate guide (in the warmth of a bus), explore the park’s breathtaking landscapes and encounter Canada’s majestic animals such as elk, bison, wolves, and bears in their natural habitats. Along the way, you’ll learn fascinating insights about their behavior, habitat, and conservation. Day 3 You can climb Montmorency Falls when it transforms into a huge ice cone or choose to ride up and down in the cable car like the rest of us. Next up is a visit to another ice masterpiece; with its majestic snow arches and crystal-clear ice sculptures, the Hôtel de Glace (ice hotel) offers its guests a one-of-a-kind winter experience. Unique in North America, the hotel transforms itself year after year to charm its visitors. Immerse yourself in the hotel's magical atmosphere and enjoy an ice-cold drink. This afternoon we’ll return to the Festivities of Carnival and visit Bonhomme’s Ice Palace and maybe even a toboggan ride beside the Chateau Frontenac (B)
