This BRAND-NEW tour has all the makings of a mystery tour, as sooo many components are new to us. But I just couldn’t keep a lid on it, so ‘hold on to your hat’ and come along on this FFFing Fun Fields Trip.

Day 1  Trois Rivieres has been chosen for our first 2 nights, as it is located on the St Lawrence where logging and pulp & paper play an integral role. Jump right in with dinner at a sugar shack. Hotel Delta by Marriott Downtown Trois Rivières, PQ (D)

Day 2  Today will leave you ENERGIZED as you explore Shawinigan’s City of Energy – founded by Hydro-Quebec. This unique museum complex included exhibitions and activities on history and science. Be sure to take the elevator to the top of the Observation Tower for a breathtaking view. In the afternoon we’ll tour Hydro-Quebec oldest operating power station, as well as Northern Aluminum Company. Return to the hotel to freshen up before heading out to a HIGH-ENERGY performance from Quebec’s very own Cirque du Soleil in their permanent stage in Trois Rivieres. What began as the pipe dream of a young French-Canadian street performer has since become a household name and a cultural icon around the globe. COME BE AMAZED. (B)

Day 3  We’ll make our way to Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and be introduced to Quebec’s largest blueberry producing region through a tasty lunch. Next up, discover the complete history of a Company Town Pulp & Paper Mill at La Pulperie de Chicoutimi. You will experience 100 years of history in a single day! We’ll stay 2 nights in an authentic ‘Company Town’ of the 1920’s Historic Val-Jalbert, Chambord, PQ (accommodations are in period-restored homes – very modern conveniences. (B, L, D)

With its 323 hectares, the Park is an oasis for hundreds of animals that live in a variety of biomes such as grassland, tundra, and boreal forest. Afterwards a short jaunt finds us learning everything about blueberries from field to fork at Délices du Lac-Saint-Jean. We have one more truly Canadian visit where you will discover the fascinating world of fur product processing. BILODEAU Canada stands out in the field of fur, which is natural, sustainable and biodegradable raw material with a low ecological footprint. Return to the village of Val-Jalbert for another intimate evening and fantastic food.  (B,D)

Immerse yourself in this living laboratory and let yourself be transported to the seabed of the Saguenay Fjord thanks to our 53,000-litre saltwater aquarium which will introduce you to unsuspected marine fauna. Afterwards we’ll board a boat and cruise down the river and through the majestic Saguenay Fjord and down to the St Lawrence River.
