Day 1: We set out driving through Michigan and Indiana arriving at our hotel late afternoon. Check-in at the Essenhaus Inn, Middlebury – at the crossroads of Amish Country. Enjoy the immaculate grounds or go shopping at the quilt shop. Refresh with a dip in the pool.
Day 2: First stop of the day is a visit to the Shipshewana Flea Market & Auction. Experience first-hand why thousands flock to “the trading place of America”. Shipshewana is home to the Midwest’s largest outdoor flea market with over 900 booths covering 60 acres. A shopper’s paradise! Or check-out the quilt shops. Continue on to the Drury Hotel, Springfield Illinois. (B)
Day 3: Continue west to Hamilton, MO and spend the afternoon browsing the many quilt shops of the Missouri Star Quilt Company. Dinner & ‘trunk show’ is included at Missouri Star Quilt Company. We spend the next 2 nights at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Chillicothe, MO. (B,D)
Day 4: FULL DAY of shopping in Hamilton MO with afternoon shuttles to hotel. (B)
Day 5: Head east to Champaign IL and visit the Hardy Reindeer Ranch for an up close an intimate visit with the reindeers and then enjoy a ‘County Hoedown’. Our hotel is the Holiday Inn Express, Champaign, IL (B, D)
Day 6: A relaxing journey brings us home to Ontario. (B)
