We’ve bundled the best of Muskoka & Haliburton Highlands into one tidy tour. The ‘GREAT OUTDOORS’ theme throughout this tour is proudly Canadian. The tour has been planned with a balance of leisure time and very little time on the motor coach.
Day 1: You’ll love the riverside backdrop for the unveiling of this iconic Canadian venue – the McMichael Art Gallery pays homage to our very own Group of Seven. Late afternoon we’ll check-in to our LUXURY LAKEVIEW SUITES featuring one queen as well as a double pull out sofa and full walkout balcony with Muskoka chairs. Residence Inn by Marriott, Gravenhurst, ON
Day 2: It’s only fitting that first up is a driving tour of Algonquin Park, an iconic provincial park in our own backyard. We’ll spend some time hunting for murals in Huntsville before returning to our lakeside setting where you’ll have time to explore the area on your own. (B)
Day 3: This morning we visit Haliburton Forest, aside from the 100,000 acres, 100 lakes and millions of trees, it is a sustainably managed forest…but what is really cool is our visit to the Wolf Centre. With live wolfcams and wolf exhibits you can always catch a glimpse of the wolves as they wander through their large, naturally forested environment. Now that you have worked up an appetite, join us at the Basecamp Cookhouse for a tasty lunch. Spend some time hunting for sculptures in Haliburton’s Sculpture Forest before we take to the slopes of Sir Sam’s Ski Hill for a bird’s eye photo. After our included dinner, we’ve planned a fun games night. (B,L,D)
Day 4: While we make our way back home, the fun is not over yet and we’ll have one last odd lake stop. Stops will be made for convenience stops ONroute home. (B)
