Day 5 We’ll arrive on Jekyll Island in time for lunch. The Jekyll Island Club was a turn-of-the century vacation resort, patronized by iconic families like the Vanderbilts, Morgans, Pulitzers, and Rockefellers. In 1904, Munsey’s Magazine called the Jekyll Island Club “the richest, the most exclusive, the most inaccessible club in the world.” And you will be staying here for 2 nights. Our motor coach will take a tour around the island. There’s something about an island that triggers us to explore, and Jekyll Island has a plenty to explore. Nature lovers and photo buffs find rare birds, sea turtle sanctuaries, and the remote beauty of Driftwood Beach. Historians devour the stories and architecture. Exercise fans can swim, jog, hike, and bike on miles of uncrowded beach. Jekyll Island Club Resort, GA (B,L)
Day 6 Free day; The island resort is a place of discovery, activity, and retreat. Your options are nearly limitless. Find quiet indoor escapes, brilliantly manicured grounds, and full amenities and services to put as much or as little activity as you desire into each day.
