Peaches & Beaches... Only Georgia's Best

March 19-30, 2020

Kick off the winter blues and head south ‘til the butter melts. Our tour will have you feeling like you have won the lottery. It is GEORGIA done right with elegance and grandeur all the way!

Day 1  We’re up and at it early as we head south and arrive in time for Happy Hour. Drury Hotel, Cincinnati, OH.

Day 2  Travel into the Smoky Mountains arriving in Pigeon Forge late afternoon. Welcome Aboard the Titanic Museum, a celebration of the ship, passengers and crew! Enjoy a First-Class dinner aboard the Titanic.  We spend the night at The Inn on the River, Pigeon Forge, TN (B,D)

Day 3 We continue South to Macon, GA known for rich history, incredible architecture, stunning Southern charm, and we are in time to see the cherry blossoms bud.  Freshen up and head out on a guided tour of the Hay House, one of Georgia’s most distinguished structures which was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1974. The house itself contains more than 16,000 square feet in 24 principal rooms. Our tour is followed by a private dinner. Our home for the next 2 nights is Hilton Garden Inn, Macon, GA (B,D)

Day 4  Today is all about the Antebellum Trail. Discover picturesque antebellum homes in one of Georgia's oldest and largest National Historic Districts in Madison. Our driving tour will have us ‘OOHing and AHHing’ the whole way. We’ve included a delightful lunch. We return to Macon for the remainder of the afternoon. Hilton Garden Inn, Macon, GA (B,L)

Day 5 We’ll arrive on Jekyll Island in time for lunch. The Jekyll Island Club was a turn-of-the century vacation resort, patronized by iconic families like the Vanderbilts, Morgans, Pulitzers, and Rockefellers. In 1904, Munsey’s Magazine called the Jekyll Island Club “the richest, the most exclusive, the most inaccessible club in the world.” And you will be staying here for 2 nights. Our motor coach will take a tour around the island. There’s something about an island that triggers us to explore, and Jekyll Island has a plenty to explore. Nature lovers and photo buffs find rare birds, sea turtle sanctuaries, and the remote beauty of Driftwood Beach. Historians devour the stories and architecture. Exercise fans can swim, jog, hike, and bike on miles of uncrowded beach. Jekyll Island Club Resort, GA (B,L)

Day 6   Free day; The island resort is a place of discovery, activity, and retreat. Your options are nearly limitless. Find quiet indoor escapes, brilliantly manicured grounds, and full amenities and services to put as much or as little activity as you desire into each day. Choose from historical tram tours, golf, croquet, mini-golf, horseback riding, tennis, bicycle rentals, dolphin watching cruises and so much more. Jekyll Island Club Resort, GA (B)

Day 7   We’ll pop over to Saint Simons Island for a visit. Then continue to head north along the coast to Savannah, known for manicured parks, horse-drawn carriages and antebellum architecture. Its historic district is filled with cobblestoned squares and parks shaded by oak trees covered with Spanish moss. Upon arrival our trolley tour will take us around the historic district, showing you just how walkable it is. Hampton Inn & Suites Historic District, Savannah, GA (B)

Day 8 Make your time in Savannah as remarkable as it can be. We’ve included a full day pass on the Hop On Hop Off trolley. Hampton Inn & Suites Historic District, Savannah, GA (B)
