Day 1 We set out driving through Michigan, Ohio, and into the Bluegrass State of Kentucky. Check-in at the Hampton Inn, Lexington KY.
Day 2 We’ve arranged a fabric store to open early for us before continuing onto to Berea. A special weaving demonstration will be presented by the students of Berea College, one of the country’s top ranked liberal arts colleges with several creative craft classes. Afterwards, enjoy lunch on campus at the student-run historic Boone Tavern. Arrive early evening at the Holiday Inn Express, Metropolis IL – our home for the next 3 nights. (B,L)
Day 3 & 4 These are the days you have been waiting for. You will spend two FULL days at the American Quilt Festival visiting and scoping out the latest trends – you may even have the notion to take on a new project. Be sure to stop by the National Quilt Museum – made to inspire. (B)
Day 5 We will start our journey home stopping at a Dinner House for lunch and a late afternoon arrival at The Marriott, Covington OH (on the Ohio River). (B, L)
Day 6 A relaxing journey brings us home to Ontario. (B)
