DAY 1 After a stop at duty free we cross into Pure Michigan. Midday finds us at Birch Run Premium Outlets the largest outlet mall in the Midwestern United States. Afterwards we make our way up and across one of the world's largest suspension bridges. This journey will take us to St. Ignace in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Perhaps enjoy a walk on the beach or relax by the pool. Best Western Harbor Pointe, St. Ignace, MI.
DAY 2 Our search for something new, found Thunder Bay Resort's award-winning, elk viewing, horse-drawn carriage ride, gourmet dinner & wine tasting to be a “real-life fairy tale.” (B, L)
DAY 3 A short crossing on the ferry this morning takes us to beautiful Mackinac Island where we will be met by horse-drawn carriages for a tour of this lush Island. The tour concludes at the stately Grand Hotel where we will be ushered into the elegant dining room for a sumptuous lunch. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring the Island on your own, browsing in the unique stores that line the streets or relaxing on a bench by the water. The ferry runs on a regular basis so you can choose your own return time to the mainland. (B, L)
DAY 4 Take a stroll through Frankenmuth, known for its Bavarian-style architecture and food or spend some time at Bronner’s, ‘the world’s largest Christmas store’. always a fun stop. With new friends and fond memories, return home early evening. (B)
