If you haven’t been to Cape Cod…this is the year to do it. For those returning to the Cape, you’ll see that we’ve included different sites, to make it ‘New For You.’ See magical Cape Cod in the autumn as New England's foliage makes the Eastern Seaboard even more beautiful. We’ve left some time for you to truly relax and take it all in, so you’ll feel like you’ve had a holiday!
Day 1 You’ll begin to relax as we will travel through Upstate New York and into Massachusetts for the night. Hampton Inn, Chicopee, MA
Day 2 First stop this morning is Boston and after free time at Quincy Market, a local guide joins us for a city tour. Depart Boston and travel south to the sandy shores of CAPE COD. Our full-service hotel features an indoor and outdoor pool and is near the Cape Cod Mall, a perfect location for a 4 night stay. Holiday Inn, Hyannis MA (B, D)
Day 3 This morning we travel along a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. We drive through the Cape Cod National Seashore area where the sand dunes and ocean are all around making you feel like you’ve arrived at "Land's End" in Provincetown. You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artist/fishermen village unique. Choose between an amazing Whale Watch Excursion, OR a Dune Tour Excursion. (B)
Day 4 PLYMOUTH is the home of the Pilgrim Fathers and one of the country’s first settlements. Then it’s all aboard a LOBSTER TALES CRUISE to learn about the creatures of Plymouth Harbour and a “hands on” approach to see how lobsters are harvested from their natural environment. Remainder of the day is free for you to explore on your own. (B)
Day 5 We’ll drive through HYANNIS (home to the John F. Kennedy Memorial, and the Kennedy Family compound) enroute to the ferry. We’ll cruise to Martha’s Vineyard where we have a driving tour of the island to learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders as we pass through the picturesque villages. Free time for lunch is available before returning to the main land where a lobster dinner included. (B,D)
Day 6 No stop to Cape Cod would be complete without a stop at a CRANBERRY BOG to learn about their farming and harvesting techniques. After this, a pleasant coastal drive takes us to Newport, Rhode Island. Here we will have free time to enjoy the charm of Newport’s historic buildings and restored homes. (B) Hampton Inn, Chicopee, MA.
